System Engineer - Stuttgart Germany

Within our business unit HPC in Leinfelden near Stuttgart we are currently looking for a:

System Analyst  (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • System administration of Benchmarking System at the Leinfelden-Echterdingen office; documentation and bookkeeping of hardware and software configuration and managing upgrading and reconfiguration tasks as well as purchasing of new equipment in cooperation with the Sales Support team
  • Administration of various IT infrastructure environments and systems at the Leinfelden-Echterdingen office which are not centrally managed by the EIS team of NEC Europe
  • Technical support with customer projects, especially in the post-sales stage, onsite and remotely (1st and 2nd level support)

 

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in a technical or computer science discipline (FH, MATSE, or Systems informatics technician) with a main focus on informatics or electronic engineering or equivalent professional certification(s)
  • Very good knowledge about and experience with application and support in LINUX-based HW/ SW-environments and network environments
  • Good knowledge of Windows-based system administration skills is an advantage
  • Min 5 years of experience in the areas of system and network administration or technical customer support
  • Knowledge of storage systems is an advantage
  • Able to work in a responsible and independent way
  • Continued willingness to expand procedural and technological skills
  • Good spoken and written command of the English language
  • Fluent in German language
  • Full and clean driver’s license (class B)
