System Analyst Lustre

In HPC Europe business NEC has a proven track record not only as the world-leader in high-end vector computing, NEC SX vector supercomputer, but also as a company that can provide the right tool for every HPC-requirement from NEC LX-series, which is based on industry-standard components, to the high-end vector SX-series.

Within our business unit HPC in Leinfelden near Stuttgart we are currently looking for a:

System Analyst  (m/f/d)



Responsibilities:
  • Work on high performance parallel file systems like Lustre and DAOS
  • Designing, benchmarking and building custom solutions for high performance storage
  • Research and development of software technologies in areas of HPC and distributed systems closely linked to current and future hardware products
  • Occasional pre- and post-sales support related to developments of the R&D group


Education and Experience:
  • Master or equivalent degree in computer science, alternatively Master or PhD in mathematics, science or engineering with strong computer science background
  • Programming in Python, C, C++
  • In-depth Linux OS, Kernel and system software knowledge
  • Experience with high performance parallel file systems, especially Lustre
  • Knowledge in parallel programming of HPC applications and/or AI
  • Interest for and know-how on state-of-the-art of computer, CPU and software technologies
