Global HR Talent Process Owner

The Global HR Talent Process Owner is accountable for the functionality of the Talent processes (Performance & Goals and Succession & Development) at NEC Global Business Unit. They will have extensive knowledge of NEC’s current service, processes, data and technology in respect to Talent processes and gain a deep understanding of how NEC supports employees across the process lifecycle in the business.
This role has the authority, knowledge and relationships to have the final say on any changes to the process design and takes overall responsibility for making and signing off decision designs for the processes, related data and reporting within the Talent process area.

  • Owns and defines the business process for talent (Performance, Succession & Development) in the company, understands the interfaces with other global HR processes within employee lifecycle
  • Acts as a Product Owner of the SAP SuccessFactors PMGM and Succession & Development Modules currently being implemented globally, understands their functionality and interfaces to other modules, implements best practice recommended by system integrator while taking into account NEC’s people and culture specifics
  • Clarifies business requirements in the Talent space and ensures these are being met by the process design/setup in existence
  • Leads on process design/redesign where business requirements are not met and identifies change impacts as applicable
  • Defines and signs off the testing and training requirements and supports the change management process for the regions involved in recruitment area
  • Proactively manages internal network of HR SMEs aligned to their process area across the NEC global footprint to ensure global compliance to process design and framework
  • Brings knowledge of leading HR practices, market trends and latest technology to optimize process performance, reduce cost and risks
  • In coordination with the Global HR Data and Reporting Lead, track and report on process KPIs and lead on the implementation of follow up actions as required

Key KPIs
  • Deliver the local design integration for Release 2 and 3 countries whilst protecting the global design for their area of responsibility for GWOW
  • Collect requirements for future design, assess upcoming enhancements and prepare a roadmap of changes for area of responsibility
  • Implement community of subject matter expertise to assess change, listen to feedback and increase capability
  • Own and drive adoption of module including tracking of associated adoption KPIs

Skills & Experience required
  • Deep understanding of talent management process and its place within the employee lifecycle, extensive global talent process experience while understanding of local complexities
  • Experience with implementation or use of a global cloud-based talent management system (ideally SAP Success Factors – PMGM and Succession & Development modules; knowledge of the Compensation or Learning module is an advantage)
  • Detailed understanding of how processes can be configured in the system incl. known system limitations
  • Ability to balance NEC aspiration to maintain a global template for the HR service provision with regional nuances to add value to the business
  • Global mindset, ability to engage and build relationships with global stakeholders
  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills and ability to clearly explain process options, pros, cons and help wide stakeholder groups to come to a single decision
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, high adaptability and openness for change, ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English
