We are searching for an experienced Presales IP Engineer to our IP/Optical division.


We offer you an exciting position where you are working with the latest technology and you will be NEC’s key interface for the Nordic region for all IP design and technical related questions or concerns. In this role, you will work for opportunities initially for the Nordic countries as well as being a centralized resource for Europe/Global business. 

The position is based in Oslo or Stockholm, but will require both domestically and internationally travel based upon client obligations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Being NEC’s key interface for Nordic region for all IP design and technical related questions or concerns
  • To engage with Sales Account Managers from the early stage of the opportunity cycle
  • Design and develop innovative and competitive solutions, working individually or leading a wider virtual team for the qualified opportunity
  • Support the Sales Account Manager with the commercials of the opportunity
  • Qualify opportunities and leads based on technical and commercial criteria
  • Adopt a Lead role in major bids and technical responses
  • Actively engage with the market, through key partners, suppliers & vendors and leverage relationships where ever possible


Skills & Experience Required

  • This role requires that you have at least 6 years’ experience from IP related Projects
  • A JNCIE or CCIE certification is required
  • A JNCDA or CCDP certification would be preferable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. It is important that you have the ability to articulate technical issues in a meaningful way to both team and executive level management
  • Proven track record in presales and design environment within Service provider arena
  • The ability to present and converse in a professional, confidant manner
  • It is an advantage if you have experience from an international work environment
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian/Scandinavian (verbal and written)
