PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) sets out the basis on which NEC Europe Ltd. (“NEC Europe”) may process your personal data. As used in this Policy, the term “personal data” has the meaning given to it in applicable data protection legislation and includes, but is not limited to, your name, contact details, compensation details, CV information, and other such information we may collect in accordance with this Policy when you use NEC Europe’s careers website (“Site”) or send e-mails to one of NEC Europe’s recruiting e-mail addresses. Please note that other websites or services that may be affiliated with NEC Europe may be subject to different privacy policies. This Policy is compliant with the EC Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC).
Applicability
NEC Europe respects your privacy and believes that all personal data should be used responsibly and appropriately. In general, you may visit the Site anonymously and without revealing any personal data. However, when you apply for a role and/or register your CV with us, we collect certain personal data. By applying for a role and/or registering your CV and/or other personal details, you indicate your agreement with the terms of this Policy and consent to the processing of your personal data as specified in this Policy. NEC Europe may transfer your personal data to those countries where servers supporting the Site are located.
How personal data is collected?
NEC Europe collects your personal data through the Site and e-mails you may send to NEC Europe’s recruiting e-mail addresses.
Who may access your information?
The personal data you upload when using the Site or provide to NEC Europe by e-mail will be used in conjunction with NEC Europe’s applicant tracking system (“ATS”). The ATS allows NEC Europe and its group companies to process your personal data for the purposes of managing and tracking applications and vacancy suitability evaluation. In the event of an offer being made, this information might be transferred to other HR systems to manage contractual and employment details. Unless expressly provided otherwise, your personal data will not be used for any other purpose. NEC Europe may use subcontractors to manage and provide the ATS and may therefore be required to share your personal data with such subcontractors.
What information is collected?
The ATS is a platform that allows you and NEC Europe or its group companies to manage your application for vacancies in NEC Europe and its group companies. Therefore, personal data collected may include, but is not limited to, your name, contact details, compensation details, CV information, and other information you may provide to us through the Site or by e-mail.
How long will personal data be stored?
NEC Europe will retain your personal data for a period of 24 months of the last update by you.
How can you manage your personal data?
You may edit or delete your personal data at any time by accessing the Site at http://www.necuropecareers.com/html/people/people_salva_modifica.asp and editing or deleting the personal data you have uploaded to the ATS. Note that this will not delete any information held by NEC Europe that was not supplied through the Site or in the event that you have been short-listed or interviewed, details about your application and suitability for that/those position(s).
Cookie policy
The Site uses cookies to associate user sessions with their data. By default the cookies are temporary (so called “session cookies”) and are not stored on your computer. This means that you will have to supply your email address and password to access the data stored on the server hosting the Site each time you visit the Site. If you decide to make use of the “Save password” feature found in all logon forms, a permanent cookie with an expiry date of one year will be sent to the browser on the computer you use. This cookie is normally stored on the computer allowing you to access your personal data without inserting your email address and password. It is strongly recommended that you use the “Save password” feature only on secure (i.e. not on public) computers.
This Policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and beyond the control of NEC Europe.
